About Me

Hi, I’m Emily, a 19 year old girl, just trying to navigate this crazy life journey! I love music, fashion, food, bad reality television, and all things media and business-marketing related! I have a passion for creating, and hope to pursue a career in media marketing in the near future.

Why did I want to start “Totally Type-A”?

All my life, my personality, work ethic, and pressure for perfection have been both my greatest advantage and my biggest burden. Always the type to strive to be better, I’ve been in constant competition with myself, and it’s exhausting! It’s time I let-loose, stop running on “empty”, and live a little more in the real world, not just in my own head. Learning to accept who I am—flaws and all— has been the most transformative experience, and I want to share that with all of you! We are all more alike than we think, and I hope that my own triumphs and failures resonate with and uplift others.

 

As I’m nearing the end of my college experience, I want to document the successes, the celebrations, the obstacles I’m bound to face, and all the in-between experiences along the way. I want this podcast to be an entertaining, funny, but real space for genuine conversations on how to tackle life’s challenges and overcome your own internal obstacles. 

 

Join me as I sit down with some of my best friends and mentors to simply talk about life! No fancy talk, no empty advice. Just real experiences, lessons-learned, laughs—maybe some tears—, and genuine conversation. I want to spread honesty, compassion, and I hope you'll join me :)
